Non-Treated Surfaces Variants
Microplates are available in different materials and formats and often serve as a measuring cell, reaction tube, or storage container. Non-treated microplates made of PS are used in the most diversified application fields, such as homogenous standard assays and extensive screening assays. The hydrophobic characteristics of non-treated PS are often helpful in performing these applications.
BRANDplates® are available in two non-treated variants, pureGrade™ and pureGrade™ S. The pureGrade™ is a non-treated and non-sterile surface for a variety of laboratory tasks such as homogenous assays, screening and storage.
The pureGrade™ S is designed for sterile applications, such as bacteriological assays, pureGrade™ S plates are sterilized by ß-radiation (Beta radiation) to ISO 11137 and AAMI guidelines for a SAL of 10-6, meeting the requirements of Ph. Eur. and the USP 29. Plates are DNA, DNase, RNase freem as well as meeting cytotoxic substance levels per DIN EN ISO 10993. Endotoxins are <0.01 EU/mL. All sterile plates are individually packaged to ensure sterility.

Non-treated microplates made of Polystyrene (PS) are used in the most diversified application fields, such as homogeneous standard assays and extensive screening assays. The hydrophobic characteristics of non-treated PS are often helpful in performing these applications. BRANDplates® microplates offer non-treated surfaces for 96-, 384-, and 1536-well formats.
The non-treated surfaces for the 96-well format are available in standard microplates and microplates with transparent bottom. The 96-well format is manufactured with a “chimney well” design. Each individual well is separated from each other with a gap to reduce cross contamination risk. In combination with the condensation rings of the lid, evaporation is reduced substantially. There are three color options available, transparent, black and white for the non-treated 96-well format microplates. There are four bottom shapes, U-, V-, F-, and C-, available for the non-treated 96-well microplates. The bottom shapes have different volumes, ranging from 330 µl to 360 µl, the V-bottom has the highest capacity at 360 µl. There are 10 pureGrade™ and 8 pureGrade™ S surfaces available in the non-treated 96-well format.

The non-treated surfaces for the 384-well format for HTS (High Throughput Screening) are available in standard microplates and microplates with transparent bottom. There are three color options available, transparent, black and white for the non-treated 384-well format HTS microplates. The 384-well format is only available in the F-bottom shape with a volume range from 100 µl to 120 µl, the transparent bottom has the highest capacity in the 384-well format of 120 µl . There are 9 pureGrade™ and 9 pureGrade™ S surfaces available in the non-treated 384-well format.

The non-treated surfaces for the 1536-well format for UHTS (Ultra High Throughput Screening) is available in the standard plate type. There are three color options available, transparent, black and white for the non-treated 1536-well format UHTS microplates. The 1536-well format is only available in the F-bottom shape with a volume of 10 µl in all available microplates. There are 3 pureGrade™ and 3 pureGrade™ S surfaces available in the non-treated 384-well format.
