Color Codes For Standard Format 96-Well Plates

To enable an easy identification of the surface type and to facilitate the legibility of the alphanumeric coding, BRANDplates® in the 96-well format have added a color-coded embossed feature. The unique combination of alphanumeric color codes and the well plate color provides a quick and easy way to identify the correct microplate or an individual well. The non-treated, non-sterile pureGrade™ and non-treated, sterile pureGrade™ S well plates are grey coded. There is no embossing on transparent plates. The picture above clearly illustrates the sharp contrast of the alphanumeric coding on the various colors of microplates. Blue color codes denote the immunoassay surface including, immunoGrade™, hydroGrade™, lipoGrade™. The cell culture surfaces are orange color coded, this color coding applies to cellGrade™, cellGrade™ plus,cellGrade™ premium, and inertGrade™.

Orange Coded; microplates for cell culture applications
