Selecting The Correct Well Plate Format
BRANDplates® microplates are offered in 96-, 384-, and 1536-well formats. The well geometry is an important characteristic of the microplate.
- The 96-well standard format microplates are manufactured with a “chimney well” design.
- Available in three different surface types including non-treated, immunological and cell culture surfaces.
96-Well Format With Transparent Bottom
- The 96-well format microplate is available with the transparent bottom.
- Available in three different surface types including, non-treated, immunological and cell culture surfaces.
- They are manufactured out of white or black polystyrene (PS), with a transparent bottom made of (PS).
- The 384-well standard format microplates are manufactured with rounded wells.
- Available in three different surface types including, non-treated, immunological and cell culture surfaces.
- The 384-well microplate is often used with robotic equipment in high-throughput laboratories.
384-Well Format With Transparent Bottom
- The 384-well standard format microplates are manufactured with rounded wells.
- Available in three different surface types including, non-treated, immunological and cell culture surfaces.
- The 1536-well standard format microplates are manufactured with rounded wells.
- Available in two different surface types non-treated and cell culture surfaces.
- The 1536-well microplate requires the use of robotic equipment.
